Sour "Pumpkin" Patch Kid

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the Pride of the Wapsi. The Pride of the Wapsi is a family-sponsored fair that happens every fall here in Iowa. We had a blast!...although Emma wasn't the happiest. At the fair there is tons to do...There are little rides for the kids to go on and they have shetland pony rides and you can pick your own raspberries, and feed the farm animals...goats, chickens, pigs, etc...and we walked through their corn maze (in pretty good time, too), and took a ride to the pumpkin patch and we picked out a few pumpkins for ourselves.

Emma is about 2 and a half feet tall. Last year we measured her at the Wapsi and she was almost 2 feet tall according to this big ol ruler.
The original painting of this farm couple was actually painted here in Iowa I guess. Can you see Ben and me living on a farm?
Here we are at the pumpkin patch.

Emma turned sad and "sour" in the pumpkin patch :(

Emma needed a hug...and to sit down...take a break

I am super excited about going to the Pride of the Wapsi next year...I think Miss E will have more fun, too!

So fun Kate!! Emma's sad pictures are so cute, I love the one where she is hugging you:) What a good mom you are! hmmmm, you and Ben as farmers
i could see that. Though you never know about those Iowa farmers, I've heard they do some crazy stuff. Just let me know if you decide to build a baseball diamond, we'd definitely come see it:) I love you!
