Will you accept this rose?

I am a huge fan of the Bachelor...especially this season! Last night I was watching it, and Ben came up to me with this little rose and asked, "Will you accept this rose?" How cute is that?! That just made my day! I have such a sweet husband who is soooo good to me! And of course I said, "Yes!" Its so cute to me that he made the rose out of a napkin...it was quite impressive!...it had the spiraling petals, and a leaf, and everthing! So sweet!

"Driving would've been faster than flying"

Our Christmas vacation started out a little bit like a crazy christmas movie...it could've been called "Driving would've been faster than flying." On average, it takes about 17 hours to drive to Poky from here. It took us 24 hours just to FLY from Moline to SLC on Dec 23rd! Lets just say that all of us were extremely tired by the time we got into SLC. Thankfully my parents got some rooms at a Residence Inn for us to crash in for a few hours before driving us up to Poky. Here are some pics from the rest of our adventure.

Hooray for Christmas! Here's Ben and Emma Christmas morning. I love Emma's "whoville" hair!

Sweet kisses from Emma!

Check out these icicles! Yikes!

I took pictures of Emma playing with my scarf. This one I took when she was done and walking away. I almost erased it, but it made me laugh. Her stance is like the blurry pictures of bigfoot walking in the forest! ha

Emma loved playing with Grandma Berrey! They have a very tight bond! I swear Emma remembers her
almost immediately, even if its been months since getting together. My mom came to help when Emma was only 2 days old and stayed for 2 weeks. I think that really impacted her bond with Emma.

My cousins and I went to lunch at the cafe at Thanksgiving Point...yummy!

We spent some time with my little Grandma Berrey. She is so sweet, and she is the type of person that always makes you feel so good about yourself whenever you are around her! I love people like that!!!
Emma is playing with her cousin, Shelbie.

Okay, so check out this beautiful kitchen! JR, Ben's brother (pictured), and his wife Heather were living in her grandparents house while their's was getting finished. This kitchen is the guest kitchen in the basement!! Oh my goodness...the entire house was beautiful! I wish I would've taken more pictures!

We spent 4 days or so in St. George and we loved it! On Saturday we went with my brother Dave and his wife, Elizabeth to the temple.

We ate at Ruby River...gotta love a good steak!

Our flights back to Iowa were much smoother!! We actually arrived early! Woohoo! This is a very short, choppy account of our Christmas break! We had so much fun and we know that we want to check out St. George and Vegas as potential places to settle. We love warm!!!
